As a Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) provider with 1.000+ employees, hello.de supports major clients across Europe with critical services such as customer care, technical troubleshooting, and identity verification via video ident. In this environment, performance is everything, and data is at the core.

The company had standardized on Microsoft Fabric and Power BI for its BI architecture. But when it came time to roll out dashboards to every employee, the Power BI Pro license model quickly became a roadblock.

“Power BI Pro is powerful, but giving access to hundreds of users becomes extremely expensive. That’s just not sustainable for an operation of our size.”

Before switching to Microsoft Fabric, hello.de used a local BI solution that was discontinued after an acquisition. This made it even more important to find a long, term, stable and cost-effective solution to scale Power BI dashboards, without compromising security or usability.

The solution

Ole discovered DataTako through a simple Google search. With a strong background in BI and software consulting, he was able to evaluate and implement DataTako independently, no demo, no onboarding call.

Within weeks, hello.de had onboarded its first 100 users. More departments are currently being added, and the company plans to expand to 200 users shortly, with a roadmap to eventually onboard all 600 employees.

But it doesn’t stop there. hello.de also plans to offer clients direct access to dashboards via DataTako, providing real-time insight into the performance of their outsourced services.
