Your semantic model holds the data, relationships and calculations behind your reports. When an AI dashboard starts from those measures, “revenue” means what your team already agreed, not what the AI assumes.

You still review each dashboard before anyone else sees it.

Uses your measure
Revenue = SUM(Sales[Net]) − SUM(Returns[Net])
Net sales after returns, excl. VAT. Same as your monthly report.
Without it
The AI picks a column called “Amount”, including VAT and returns. The chart looks right. The number isn’t yours.
